Dushanbe, March 15, IRNA – Tajik President Emomalii Rahmon on Tuesday inaugurated an Iran-built factory producing detergents in Danghareh in southern Tajikistan.
The factory was built by an Iranian private company, Taj Asia and the company is said to have invested some $1.4 million in construction of the factory.
During the inauguration ceremony, Emomalii Rahmon said the project was regarded as another step in deepening economic relations between the two countries sharing the same language and culture.
Trade exchanges between Iran and Tajikistan were estimated at around $300 million in 2013 and some 150 Iranian companies are presently active in Tajikistan.
