Tehran, April 1, IRNA - Foreign Ministry spokesman, Marziyeh Afkham, on Tuesday called the Yemeni government to take serious action in dealing with those involved in the martyrdom of Iranian diplomat and help release kidnapped Iranian staff Ahmad Nikbakht.
Iran attaches importance to the issue and awaits for immediate action of Yemeni government for release of Iranian kidnapped diplomat and spares no effort to follow it up, she said.

Ahmad Nikbakhat was an Iranian staff at Iran?s embassy in Sana?a who was abducted last summer, he said.

Iranian diplomat Abolghasem Asadi aged 57 attained martyrdom by a terrorist group in Yemen.

Iran believes that Yemen?s issue will be resolved through dialogue and diplomatic channels with active contribution of all political parties and without interference of aliens and this brings stability, security and economic boom for the country.

Refuting allegations on interference of Iran in the domestic affairs of Yemen, she said such claims are unfounded.

Such claims are raised while the interference of some countries in domestic affairs of Yemen is now continued jeopardizing the county?s interests and security, she said.
