Khomein, Markazi prov, May 24, IRNA – A group of Russian tourists visited the hometown of the late Father of the Islamic Revolution, the late Imam Khomeini in this central province on Saturday.
Talking to IRNA, provincial official Mohammad Javad Razavi said that the Russian tourists visited the residence of the Imam where he lived for the first two decades of his life.
According to the official, the house attracts a great number of both domestic and foreign tourists due to its significant architecture which enjoys a rich historical background.
Some 270,000 tourists visited the place last year, he noted.
