August 19, The Iran Project - The frequent defeats of Daesh terrorist group in various fronts from the axis of resistance and the terrorist's inability to penetrate in Iran are considered as the main reasons behind Riyadh's strategy to confront Tehran.
Nowadays, the Saudi intelligence systems have been resorted to the terrorist Mujahedin-e Khalq Organization (MKO), the oldest anti-Iran opposition group, that has the lengthy record of crimes against the Islamic Republic.
MKO terrorist organization had a record of assassinating a large number of high ranking Iranian officials and was in the blacklist of US and Europe for a long time.
The MKO is the most hated terrorist group by the Iranians because of its history of assassinations and bombings and for siding with former Iraqi dictator Saddam Hussein in his eight-year war on Iran in the 1980s.
Prince Turki al-Faisal, Saudi Arabia's former intelligence chief speech in MKO annual gathering in Paris, and the meeting of President of Palestinian Authority Mahmoud Abbas with the ringleader of the terrorist Mujahedin Maryam Rajavi, are another indication of Riyadh's apparent support for the terrorist group.

Prince Turki's 30-minute address to the gathering of the Mujahedin Khalq Organization (MKO) in Paris on July 2016 is showed that a tie-up between the outfit and Takfiri groups might be in the making with the help of the Saudis.
Iranian officials and political observers believe that the development pointed to likely Riyadh plans to resuscitate the moribund group and link it with the Takfiris in order to coordinate attacks on Iran.
Reactivation of MKO supporters in Iran
In the meantime, another project has been launched aimed at supporting MKO instead of addressing the crimes the terrorist group committed against the Iranian nation, and justifying their presence in the European capitals.
Following Iran accepted Resolution 598 of the UN Security Council in 1988 and Iraqi eight-year imposed war concluded against the country, the MKO bloody invasion skyrocketed.
Then the late founder of the Islamic Republic, Imam Khomeini ordered MKO prisoners to be executed due to their support for the atrocities of the terrorist group.
Persuading Ayatollah Montazeri
At that time, the members of the MKO have been infiltrated in the office of leading clerical figure Ayatollah Hossein Ali Montazeri and were trying to avoid punishment of their supporters. The MKO members finally persuaded Ayatollah Montazeri to write a protest letter to Imam Khomeini and subsequently he was relieved of his posts.
In recent days, the children of Ayatollah Montazeri that after many years of his death, still continue running his office in the holy city of Qom, in coordinated action aligned with the support of Saudi Arabia from MKO, aired the protest voice of Ayatollah Montazeri against the punishment of the terrorist group.
In this context, the following questions arise for consideration:
- Why this audio file allegedly recorded in 1988, has been aired on the verge of MKO resurgence with the support of Saudi Arabia?
- Why many of those who involved in the judiciary power at the time were considered to be close ally of Ayatollah Montazeri did not hesitate to punish the MKO members even a second?
-While MEK crimes have been proven across the globe, and according to their own claims they have killed more than 50 thousand of Iranian military and civilian people, why this terrorist group are yet supported?
At the end, the point is what the respond of Tehran could be regarding Saudi Arabia financial support for the terrorist group and Riyadh endeavors for disintegrating Iran?
