Tehran, Jan 6, IRNA - A senior member of the Iranian Parliament (Majlis) quoted Intelligence Minister Mahmoud Alavi on Tuesday as saying that Tehran would break off any threat against its national security.
Irans security forces have so far not allowed the Daesh (ISIS) terrorists to make the least moves against national security of Iran, Rapporteur of Majlis National Security and Foreign Policy Commission Hossein Naqavi Hosseini further quoted the intelligence minister.
According to the Iranian lawmaker, Alavi made the remarks while addressing a meeting of the Majlis National Security and Foreign Policy Commission.
The intelligence minister and his deputies attended the commissions session Tuesday to brief the MPs on latest efforts made by the security forces, Hosseini told IRNA.
The minister said the experienced and faithful personnel of the Ministry have so far prevented all enemies of the Islamic Republic of Iran from inflicting the least damage against its national security.
And we firmly announce that we will also be the safest country in the future, Alavi stressed, according to the MP.
He told the members of the Majlis commission that the Intelligence Ministrys approach is to avoid any threats against Iran from outside the country.
He added, Terrorist groups are trying to enter explosives into Iran but they have not so far been successful due to the courageous efforts of the Iranian security forces.
