Dy FM: Iran pays dearly for supporting anti-ISIS front countries

Tehran, Jan 12, IRNA Middle East's Island of stability, Iran, has paid dearly in supporting regional countries involved in campaign against occupation, aggression, and extremism, and still continues its support, Deputy Foreign Minister Morteza Sarmadi said here Monday.
Sarmadi made the remarks in a meeting with the outgoing Polish Ambassador Juliusz J. Gojlo, appreciating him for the efforts he has made for elevation of bilateral ties during his tenure.

Referring to the exchange of various economic and political delegations, especially as of taking office of President Hassan Rouhani, Sarmadi expressed hope that bilateral ties will expand drastically in near future, especially by relaying on two ambassadors' efforts.

Sarmadi also referred to the recent terrorist attacks in Paris and that the Middle East is a key spot for Iran-EU cooperation, and expressed delight that some European friends have properly realized that fact, as well as the root causes of aggression, extremism and terrorism.

'Terrorism has spread beyond borders and turned into an international threat today,' he added.

Gojlo, too, said in the meeting that his tenure in Tehran was among the happiest and most successful years of his life.

He referred to the official meetings between the Polish foreign minister and Iranian officials during his tenure and the visit of the Iranian industries, mines and trade minister to Poland, as well as visits of parliamentary and economic delegations of the two countries to each other's capital cities during his tenure in Tehran.

The Polish diplomat also hoped that the Iran-Sextet nuclear talks will lead to a comprehensive final agreement in near future.
