TEHRAN (ISNA)- Iran and Iraq are likely to run joint telecommunications operator, said Iranian Minister of Telecommunications Mahmoud Vaezi.
Iran has expressed its readiness for establishing joint telecommunications operator between the two countries to improve roaming quality, he said.
Iran and Iraq share five sound and data connection points because of their long shared borders, he said after a meeting with his Iraqi counterpart here in Tehran.
The two sides also discussed ways for the further expansion of bilateral cooperation on post, post bank, internet, satellite, cell phone and phone.
