Iran, Russia sign agreement on Bushehr power plant services

Moscow, March 2, IRNA Head of Rosenergoatom said Iran and Russia have signed an agreement to provide services to Bushehr nuclear power plant.




Rosenergoatom Chief Executive Officer Evgeny Romanov told Russian News Agency Rossiya Segodnya (Russia Today) that the firm has signed a five-year cooperation agreement with Iran.

The two sides have agreed that Rosenergoatom which is a subsidiary of Rosatom to participate in new power plants to be built in Bushehr.

Bushehr power plant has a 1,000 MW nuclear reactor which started generating electricity last year.

Iran's Atomic Energy Organization and the Russian Company Rosatom signed an agreement in 2014 for building the second and third units of Bushehr Power Plant.
