Iran improves status in entrepreneurship indexes: GEM

Tehran, January 13, The Iran Project – Head of the faculty of entrepreneurship says according to the figures released by the Global Entrepreneurship Monitor (GEM), Iran’s status in entrepreneurship indexes has been improved compared to last year, noting that Iran ranks fifth among the 60 countries participating in GEM’s survey.

Mohammad Reza Zali, Iran’s head of the University of Tehran’ Faculty of Entrepreneurship noted the survey plan of GEM with participating 60 countries this year, saying that Iran’s status in most of the indexes has improved compared to the previous years.

Referring to the entrepreneurship intention index, Zali stated that Iran’s index has grown from 35% in 2014 (the Persian year of 1393) to 38% in 2015 (the Persian year of 1394).

“Iran’s rate in perceived entrepreneurship opportunities has increased by 13% in current year,” he underlined, adding that Iran ranks fifth among 60 countries participating in the GEM’s survey in index of the country’s entrepreneurs’ status.

The Global Entrepreneurship Monitor is the world's foremost study of entrepreneurship.
