Press TV - Iranian discus thrower and London 2012 Olympics silver medalist Ehsan Haddadi�has�featured dazzling performances at the USSD competitions�in the United States, and snatched a gold medal.

The 33-year-old Iranian sportsman finished in the first spot and struck the yellow medal with his best throw of 68.85 meters in Chula Vista�city, located just 12 kilometers (7.5 miles) from�downtown San Diego.

Haddadi recorded 59.40 meters in his first attempt, and threw 67.99 meters in the second.
�I am so delighted to have once again recorded a throw beyond 68 meters after six years. It was a great contest and I hope to extend my success in future competitions and the Diamond League,� he said.

�Currently, I am training under the tutelage of Mac Wilkins. Fortunately, I could get a satisfactory result through his training. I am now in an acceptable mental state,� Haddadi added.
The Iranian discus thrower is preparing for the 2018 International Association of Athletics Federations (IAAF) Diamond League.
