�EAM @SushmaSwaraj [Indian Foreign Minister] welcomes Foreign Minister of #Iran Mohammad Javad Zarif in New Delhi ahead of the delegation-level talks,� Raveesh Kumar wrote on his Twitter account.

�Our relations with Iran are unique and historical and we attach great importance to this relationship,� he added.

Zarif arrived in New Delhi on Monday morning at the head of a trade and economic delegation and held talks with his Indian counterpart Sushma Swaraj who announced her country will not recognize unilateral sanctions.

India was first non-JCPOA destination for Zarif after US withdrawal from the international pact on May 8.

Earlier, Zarif toured China, Russia and Brussels in a bid to win global consensus against US illegal move to opt out of the deal.

Zarif told IRNA that JCPOA-related visits to other countries will continue.
