Tasnim Iranian athletes took part at the 18th Asian Games Opening Ceremony parade on Saturday.
Iran will participate in the Games with One Iran, One Voice slogan.
Woman shooter Elaheh Ahmadi carried Irans flag in the ceremony held at the Gelora Bung Karno (GBK) main stadium in Senayan, Jakarta.
Ahmadi replaced injured Kimia Alizadeh as Irans flag-bearer.
"We are all here to celebrate diversity, we are all here to celebrate differences, we are all here to celebrate humanity," organizing committee president Erick Thohir said in his speech.
About 18,000 athletes and officials from 45 Asian countries will be at the Asiad, organizers said, looking to make their mark across a range of sports including bridge, jetski, paragliding and sepak takraw, as well as nearly the full Olympic program.
The 2018 Asian Games, officially known as the 18th Asian Games and also known as Jakarta Palembang 2018, is a pan-Asian multi-sport event scheduled to be held from 18 August to 2 September in the Indonesian cities of Jakarta and Palembang.
The athletes will compete in 465 events across 40 sports and 67 disciplines.
