SHANA -- The ranking of Iran's Persian Gulf Petrochemical Industries Company (PGPIC) improved several levels at the ICIS 100 Top Chemical Companies list for 2018.

Based on the ICIS 2018 ranking which was released in September, PGPIC has been ranked as the 38th top chemical company in the world, climbing 6 ranks from the 2016 ICIS listing.

The ICIS Top 100 Chemical Companies is a ranking of the world�s largest chemical producers by sales. The listing includes both public and private companies, as well as additional metrics on operating profit, net income, capital expenditures, R&D spending, as well as total assets and employees.

According to ICIS, PGPIC is also the second biggest chemical company in the Middle East.
