IRNA - Russian foreign minister calls on Europe to stop imposing sanctions because they hit people first.
“It’s impossible to measure exactly these kinds of restrictive moves. All the same, the people are those who are hit first,” said Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov on Saturday, highlighting the consequences of sanctions in “Syria, Iran and North Korea.”
He urged the European Union to “refrain” from imposing sanction. The Russian diplomat lashed out at the US saying it applies its own internal rules and regulations on the whole world.
Lavrov, who was addressing the Association of European Businesses (AEB) in Moscow, went on to criticize the US “all-permissiveness”, warning that the EU has also been “infected” as well.
