IRNA - Russian foreign minister calls on Europe to stop imposing sanctions because they hit people first.
Its impossible to measure exactly these kinds of restrictive moves. All the same, the people are those who are hit first, said Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov on Saturday, highlighting the consequences of sanctions in Syria, Iran and North Korea.
He urged the European Union to refrain from imposing sanction. The Russian diplomat lashed out at the US saying it applies its own internal rules and regulations on the whole world.
Lavrov, who was addressing the Association of European Businesses (AEB) in Moscow, went on to criticize the US all-permissiveness, warning that the EU has also been infected as well.
