TEHRAN (FNA)- Tabriz oil refinery on Monday started the daily production of more than 900 thousand liters of high octane gasoline.
As one of Mehre-Mandegar (Lasting Kindness) projects, the gasoline production capacity-boost project at Tabriz Oil Refinery started two years ago and some 2.797 thousand billion rails has been spent in the project so far.
In addition to Tabriz oil refinery, some other capacity-boost projects for gasoline production are underway in Isfahan, Lavan and Bandar Abbas oil refineries.
Managing Director of the National Iranian Oil Refining and Distribution Company (NIORDC) Alireza Zeighami recently announced that upon completion, these projects will raise gasoline production capacity of the country to approximately 70 million liters per day.
He went on to say that up to the end of the last Iranian calendar year in March 2013, daily gasoline production of the country stood at 61.4 million liters which will rise considerably after exploitation from gasoline making units at other oil refineries.
