Iran, N. Korea stress boosting trade ties

TEHRAN (ISNA)- Iran and North Korea stressed boosting the volume of bilateral trade exchanges between the two countries.
"Iran and North Korea have very friendly ties and enjoy many commonalities," said Iranian Minister of Cooperatives, Labor and Social Welfare Ali Rabiei in a meeting with his North Korea counterpart Jong Yong Su here in Tehran.

He said the two countries are willing in signing trade, investment and cultural agreements.

Rabiei further added the two sides can work on training, insurance funds, economic centers, welfare and helping disabled people.

Jong Yong Su, for his part, expressed the hope that Iranian and North Korean labor ministries could widen cooperation.

"The government of Democratic Republic of Korea is ready to start new cooperation in different areas," Jong Yong Su added.

He added his country cares development and progress in heavy industrial and agricultural areas, and hopes that the two countries could develop ties in all areas.
