TEHRAN Jan 06 (Shana): The price of oil products may rise by 30 percent in next Iranian fiscal year budget, beginning 21 March 2014, a member of energy committee of Parliament said. Speaking to Shana, Amir Abbas Soltani further said that the next year budget has paid a special attention to funding development of shared oil fields, mainly because the country is lagging behind its neighbors in oil and gas extraction from shared fields.
On NIGCs proposal on raising natural gas prices in next year budget, Soltani said: generally, Majlis disagrees with higher prices but the body may discuss rising gas prices by maximum 30 percent.
Sudden rise of energy carriers including natural gas, gasoline and gasoil may influence economic conditions negatively, the lawmaker told Shana.
