Tehran, Jan 8, IRNA Deputy Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi and his Russian counterpart Sergei Ryabkovin a telephone conversation on Tuesday evening held talks on Geneva deal reached between Iran and the group of sextet.The talks focused on Araqchis upcoming negotiations with Helga Schmid, deputy EU foreign policy chief Catherine Ashton.
Araqchi and Ms Schmid are to hold talks on implementation of the joint plan of action based on the Geneva deal.
During the January 9-10 talks in Geneva, Araqchi and Schmid will also discuss some remaining issues.
Araqchi and Ryabkov further stressed the importance of organizing a mechanism for implementation of Geneva agreement reached on November 24.
