Nasim Iranian lawmakers passed a new law that forces drivers to stop and give right of way at any intersection to a blind person carrying a white cane.
In a public hearing on Wednesday, it was decided that every driver of a vehicle shall yield the right-of-way to a blind pedestrian carrying a visible white cane, otherwise he will face the penalty section statutes, the maximum penalty for any offense for which a bail amount 100,000 Tomans has been set is the bail amount (plus any surcharge) and 5 points against the drivers license.
