Hatred to be screened at Iranian film festival in Paris

Iranian filmmaker Reza Dormishians acclaimed drama Hatred is set to be screened at the Iranian Film Festival in the French capital, Paris.
Dormishians debut feature-length film Hatred will introduce Iranian cinema along with many other films at the film event that will be held From June 6 through 17.

Shot in Turkey, the film is about the life of two Iranian youngsters, Jaleh and Hamed, who went to Turkey to immigrate to the West. It chronicles their difficulties for taking fake passports and visas.

The movie was screened at several international festivals last year, including the 28th Warsaw Film Festival in Poland, the 5th Didar International Film Festival in Tajikistan, third London Iranian Film Festival and Jaipur International Film Festival (JIFF) in India.

The film was also hailed by critics and audiences in the 30th edition of Iran's Fajr Film Festival and the 2012 edition of the Montreal World Film Festival.

Born in 1981, Dormishian started his career in cinema by writing as a film critic for several newspapers in 1997, and later as executive editor for cinema books and magazines.
