Greco-Roman wrestler Mohammadhadi Saravi has won the first gold medal for Iran in the 2024 Paris Olympics.

Mohammad Hadi Saravi from Iran claimed a gold medal at the 2021 World Wrestling Championships on Saturday. The 97kg Greco-Roman wrestler seized the gold after beating Hungarian Alex Szoke 3-1 in the final match. It was Irans third medal in the competition.
