Tehran, August 17, IRNA - Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei on Monday made clarity of Iran policy toward United States saying Iranian nation will never forget the US tyranny and adopts proper offensive and defensive approach toward Washington.

The Supreme Leader made the remarks in a meeting with a large number of elites who have come to Iran for two separate international events -- Ahlul-Bait World Assembly and General Assembly of Islamic Radios and Televisions Union.
Confronting the plots masterminded by global arrogance in the region is tantamount to the fight for the sake of God (Jihad), said the Supreme Leader.
Struggle for mercy of Almighty God does not necessary means taking military action but to some extent it will include cultural, economic and political campaign, said the Supreme Leader.
The Supreme Leader said that the Islamic Republic of Iran focuses on identifying the US conspiracy to thwart them, advising the governments in the region and the strategic and sensitive region of west Asia region to follow suit.
The Supreme Leader highlighted the conspiracies of the global arrogance in the region over the past century, saying that the US administration escalated pressure on the regional states especially after culmination of the Islamic Revolution in Iran in a bid to prevent occurrence of such revolution in other parts of the region.
Since 35 years ago, the Islamic revolution was the target for threats, sanctions, security pressures and various political conspiracies and the Iranian nation have got used to such pressures, said the Supreme Leader.
'The enemies masterminded more plots in west Asia after spread of the Islamic Awakening started from north Africa.
They assumed they could suppress the Islamic Awakening but to no avail and the movement still continues its path and will reveal its reality sooner of later.'
The arrogant powers led by the US proved to be the true sense of enemy, said the Supreme Leader adding that the US lacks humanitarian ethics and they do not hesitate to commit crime and treason under the guise of beautiful words and smiles.
Explaining the enemies plans under current circumstances, the Supreme Leader said their plots focused on two pillars 'sowing discord' and 'infiltration'.
'Global arrogance aims to divide the governments and the worst of all pursues divide of nations.
The've currently planned to divide the Shia and Sunni Muslims a prelude to divide the nations, said the Supreme Leader adding that the Britons are expert in dividing the nations and the Americans are their lackeys.
Some simple-minded Muslims who lacks insight have been deceived by the enemies plots and act as their agents, said Ayatollah Khamenei.
Syria is a good example, said Ayatollah Khamenei adding that when governments in Tunisia and Egypt were sacked under Islamic mottos, the Americans and Zionists decided to use this formula to destroy resistance movement and that is why they have focused on Syria.
A group of ignorant Muslims carried out the enemies plots and created such deplorable situation in Syria, said the Supreme Leader.
Current developments in Iraq, Syria and Yemen are not of religious origin but they are political conflicts, said the Supreme Leader.
'The most important duty is to help root out such disputes and conflicts.
'We have repeatedly announced that the Islamic Republic of Iran has extended its friendship hands to all Islamic governments in the region and has no problems with Islamic states.'
Iran has friendly relations with most of its neighbors but there might be slight differences with some governments but Iran is to continue its good relations with neighbors as well as Islamic states mainly in the region, said Ayatollah Khamenei.
'Iranian stance is based on the principled approach established by late Imam Khomeini which led to triumph of the Islamic Revolution in Iran.
'Iran under no circumstance is to reconcile with global arrogance but seeks friendship and brotherhood with Muslim brothers.
'Defending the oppressed nations, we never regard their religions and will render the same aid to the Sunni Muslims in Gaza the same to Shia Muslims and we regard the issue of Palestine on top of world Muslim agenda,' said the Supreme Leader.
'We are opposed to divide the Islamic Ummah and condemn any move leading to discord even on behalf of Shia groups and also condemn desecration of sanctities of Sunni Muslims,' said the Supreme Leader.
The US seeks to infiltrate in the region to remedy its damaged reputation, underlined the Supreme Leader.
The Supreme Leader referred to his previous remarks on the US efforts to disintegrate Iraq but some expressed doubt about. Now, the American officials blatantly talk about Iraq's disintegration.
The Americans seek to disintegrate Iraq and Syria but Iran attaches importance to the territorial integrity of those countries, said the Supreme Leader.
'We never believe in London-based methodology for Shia Muslims paving the path for global arrogance,' underlined the Supreme Leader.
Iran is to back world oppressed nations such as people in Bahrain and Yemen, said the Supreme Leader adding that despite of baseless allegations, Iran never interfere in those countries affairs.
'In other parts of the world of Islam such as Pakistan and Afghanistan such incidents are now occurred requiring Muslims insight and vigilance to deal with.'
