The United States and Saudi Arabia are in cahoots in supporting the Bahraini regimes brutal crackdown on opposition, a political analyst tellsPress TVin an interview.
Rodney Shakespeare dismissed any fallout between Washington and Riyadh on Bahrain, saying the killer Al Khalifa regime in Bahrain is maintained by the USA.
He added that Saudi Arabia and the US are hand in glove and in practice maintaining and expanding Israel.
Shakespeare noted that the Manama regime has responded violently to peaceful opposition protests.
The opposition in Bahrain was being peaceful from the beginning and what happened? They just get shot in the face and blinded, he said.
As recently as Wednesday, Saudi-backed Bahraini forces attacked a funeral procession held for a 17-year-old youth killed by regime forces in the northwestern village of Bani Jamra.
The funeral was held for Ali Khalil al-Sabbagh, who was shot dead by regime forces in Bani Jamra on Tuesday.
He is the latest victim of the ongoing crackdown by the Al Khalifa regime on dissent.
Bahrainis have been staging demonstrations since mid-February 2011, calling for political reforms and a constitutional monarchy, a demand that later changed to an outright call for the ouster of the ruling Al Khalifa family following its brutal crackdown on popular protests.
Scores have been killed, many of them under torture, while in custody, and thousands more detained since the popular uprising started in the kingdom.
