SHANA: What inspired you to write Big Oil & Their Bankers in the Persian Gulf? Kindly explain.
Dean Henderson: Big Oil... was inspired by a Master's thesis I completed in 1991 titled "The Gulf Cooperation Council: A Regional Resource Security for the Regime of International Capital Accumulation".
I did it during the Gulf War and wanted to find out who profited from the war. I then spent an additional 13 years researching it to find out who really controls the world.
SHANA: Tell me about the title and please elaborate on the following words appeared on the front cover of your book: Four Horsemen, Eight Families and Their Global Intelligence, Narcotics and Terror Network.
Dean Henderson: Four Horsemen is a phrase I coined as an update to Anthony Sampson's "Seven Sisters" of oil, since they have merged into four companies: Royal Dutch/Shell, BP Amoco, Exxon Mobil and Chevron Texaco. The "Eight Families" (Rothschild, Rockefeller, Goldman Sachs, kuhn Loeb, Israel Moses Seif. Lazard, Warburg & Lehman) own 52 % of the New York Federal Reserve and most world central banks. "Intelligence, Narcotics and Terror" are what they make money doing. This could also read "oil, guns and drugs".
SHANA: Did you suggest the image that was used on the cover? Or were you offered choices?
Dean Henderson: The image on the cover is a photo I took of a fountain in Thailand, so I chose it.
SHANA: Does your book merely address the American society?
Dean Henderson: The book is not just about America, but the whole world.
SHANA: As you know the US and EU have imposed additional sanctions on Iranian oil exports and banks since 2012. What purposes are they expected to serve?
Dean Henderson: Sanctions on Iran serve the banking/oil cartel since Iran owns its oil, not the cartel. It doesn't seem like Iran's oil industry has been affected greatly.
SHANA: Given to the sanctions and US double-standards, whats your perspective on Iran's oil exports? What might the future hold?
Dean Henderson: I think Iran's oil industry has a bright future because this cartel is losing control and the BRIC nations are on the rise. I hope this helps.
