The Iran Project : Minister of Information and Communications Technology (ICT) Sattar Hashemi has expressed Iran’s readiness to share its scientific and technical expertise with Saudi Arabia.
According to The Iran Project, Hashemi made the remarks on Sunday during a meeting in the Iranian capital with Saudi Arabia’s Ambassador to Tehran Abdullah bin Saud al-Anzi.
He outlined different areas for Iran-Saudi cooperation, especially in ICT, underlining the need for developing relations between the two countries.
Cooperation in data transfer is the most important issue that Tehran and Riyadh can put on their agenda, he added.
Hashemi also noted that developing communication infrastructure, ensuring cybersecurity, and advancing e-government services are among other potential areas for cooperation between the Islamic Republic and the Saudi kingdom.
He further said Iran stands ready to share its scientific and technical expertise with Saudi Arabia and exchange ICT delegations and experts.
