Photos: 2 more ATRs land in Tehran on Saturday

IRNA | Amin Jalali: Two new ATR aircraft landed in Tehrans Mehrabad International Airport on Saturday. Iran Air, the countrys flag carrier, signed a contract with the Franco-Italian plane maker back in April to purchase 20 ATR 72-600 planes worth $400 million based on list prices. Six of the turboprop short-haul regional airliners have already been delivered to Iran so far and with this delivery, the number of ATR aircraft received by Iran Air after the nuclear deal will reach 8. Civil Aviation Organization of Iran has issued the registration license and flight permit for the two 70-seat jets. With this delivery, the number of airplanes received by Iran after the nuclear deal known as the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) will reach 11.
