Tehran, June 29, IRNA -- Films by noted Iranian director Rakhshan Bani-Etemad will be shown in Tunisia.
Head of Iran?s Cinematic Organization, Hojjatollah Ayyoubi, in a meeting with Tunisian cinema officials, decided to hold a film week focusing on Bani-Etemad?s works.
Ayyoubi stressed the importance of expanding cinematic ties between Iran and Tunisia.
Meanwhile, as per an agreement between Iranian Youth Cinema Association and Iranian-Tunisian Friendship Association, Persian short films will be shown in Tunisia.
Bani-Etemad is an internationally acclaimed Iranian film director and screenwriter. She is widely considered Iran?s premier female director. Her films have been praised at international festivals as well as being remarkably popular among Iranian critics and audiences.
