TEHRAN (ISNA)- Deputy Head of Iran's Fishery Organization said the country exported 260 million dollars of different types of fish in the past Iranian calendar year (started on March 21, 2013).
"Iran produced over 150.000 tons of trout last year," said Ali Asghar Mojahedi.
He also said the country's sea fishing and aquatic cultivation respectively totaled 514.000 and 160.000 tons in the same period, adding that Iran also produced 7.000 tons of marine shrimp and 12.000 tons of cultivated shrimp.
Mojahedi continued that Iran also produced 20.000 tons of shrimp in the same period, and that Iran exported some of which to other countries.
