On Tuesday, the Iranian squad lost out to the European champions by four points in a match played at the Samsan World Sports Complex in South Koreas northwestern port city of Incheon, located about 70 kilometers (43 miles) west of the capital Seoul.
Iranian physically-challenged took the game to the wire, but eventually Britain mens wheelchair basketball team managed to roll to a 63-59 victory.
The defeat was the Iranian outfits third defeat out of four.
Iran earned a hard-fought victory over the Japanese team on Monday morning, getting past the Samurais 73-69.
On Saturday, the Iranians fell to a 66-45 defeat to Spaniards in a Group B match followed by a 48-42 loss to the Dutch later in the day.
The Islamic Republic of Iran joins Argentina, South Korea and Great Britain in a newly formed group in the second round of the world wheelchair basketball championships.
The Iranian team will play against powerhouse Argentina on Wednesday, before facing South Koreans the following day.
The 2014 World Wheelchair Basketball Championships started in Incheon on July 5, and will run until July 14.
A total of 320 athletes from 16 countries are competing in the tournament -- making it the largest event in its history.
Paralympic silver medalists Australia are looking to retain their men's world title at the 2014 World Wheelchair Basketball Championships.
With the gold medalists from London 2012 Canada not qualifying for the worlds for first time in history, Australian wheelchair basketball players will certainly want to taste glory once more.
However, they will face stiff competition in this task, with the United States undoubtedly fancying their chances as well as European champions Great Britain.
