New US assassination drone strikes have claimed the lives of at least six people in Pakistans tribal regions.

A security official in Peshawar also confirmed the incident and the death toll.
This is while the Pakistani army has launched a major military offensive against local and foreign pro-Taliban militants. The Pakistani army began the offensive against the militant hideouts in the volatile North Waziristan tribal region on June 15.
The operations came after a raid by the pro-Taliban militants on Karachis Jinnah International Airport on June 8, in which 37 people were killed. On June 9, the militants also carried out another attack on a training center outside the airport in Karachi.
Pakistans Fata Disaster Management Authority (FDMA) has announced that nearly 800,000 people have become displaced in North Waziristan Agency.
