Tuberculosis on the rise in Iranian province

Tuberculosis on the rise in Iranian province
The head of the Zabol College of Physicians reports that 500 people contract tuberculosis in Sistan-Baluchistan each year. The Shargh daily reports that tuberculosis cases have risen dramatically following the drying of Hamoon Lake.
The Zabol governor announced that the high concentration of dust particles in the air is the main factor in the growing number of tuberculosis cases.

The report adds that 17,000 people in Iran currently suffer from tuberculosis.
