TEHRAN August 8 (Shana)--Lavan Oil Refinery is expected to start producing 3.5 ml/d of euro-4 gasoline by March 2015, a top official of the National Iranian Oil Refining and Distribution Company said.
Saeed Mahjoubi said catalyst is being purchased for the refinery to start producing euro-4 gasoline.
The official said earlier that Abadan Oil Refinery is to focus 80 percent of its capacity on euro-4 gasoline.
Mahjoubi said Abadan refinery is already producing 11.5 million liters of gasoline.
He said that studies are under way on a development project for Abadan refinery for increasing distillate production. Under this development project, a new refining unit with a capacity of 210,000 b/d will become operational. This project is estimated to cost more than IRR 111 trillion.
