President: Iran to push ahead with nuclear talks
TEHRAN (Tasnim) Iranian President Hassan Rouhani on Saturday reaffirmed that his country will continue nuclear negotiations with world powers on the basis of logic and under the international regulations.
Regarding our foreign policy, we will keep to the path and will seriously continue the (nuclear) negotiations based on logic and the international laws and commitments, Rouhani told reporters on Saturday.

He made the comments after paying a visit to the mausoleum of late founder of the Islamic Republic, Imam Khomeini (RA), in southern Tehran to mark Iran's government week.

The president underlined that the administration has done and will do its utmost in the course of talks with world powers on Tehrans peaceful nuclear program.

He also expressed the hope that Irans efforts in that regard would bring about success for the country, as well as for the region and the rest of the world.

Iran and the Group 5+1 (alternatively known as P5+1 or E3+3) are in talks to reach a final agreement over Tehrans nuclear energy program and the removal of unjustified sanctions against Iran.

The two sides are supposed to hold meetings in New York in September.

Iran and the sextet Russia, China, the US, Britain, France and Germany- clinched a landmark interim deal in Geneva, Switzerland, on November 23, 2013. The agreement took effect on January 20 and expired six months later on July 20.

In July, the two sides agreed on the extension of their discussions until November 24 in an effort to achieve a permanent nuclear deal to settle a decade-long standoff on Irans peaceful nuclear energy program.
