Gaza victory proves Israeli fragile nature: Commander

Mashhad, Aug 27, IRNA Gaza victory proved the Israeli fragile nature, Commander of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps Brigadier General Hossein Salami said on Wednesday.
Speaking in a conference of Basiji university lecturers, he noted that despite US support, the Zionist regime has undergone degradation.
The Zionist regime?s defeat from the Lebanese Hezbollah and the Palestinian resistance movements proved that it is fragile, Salami noted.

He added that US assistance for Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (better known as Daesh) and in the meantime its support for Israel crimes in Gaza boosted public resentment toward the US policymakers.

Representatives of the Palestinian resistance movement and Israel on Tuesday reached a deal on a long-term ceasefire.

The truce will rid the territory of its seven-year-old blockade.

Israel launched an aerial military onslaught against Gaza since early July 8 and later expanded its operation with a ground invasion.

More than 2,137 Palestinians, including around 570 children, have been killed so far in the Israeli atrocities on Gaza. Some 11,000 others have been wounded.

Most of the victims were civilians, including children, women and the elderly.

Tel Aviv says 68 Israeli soldiers were killed in the conflict, but Hamas puts the deaths of Israeli soldiers at more than 150.
