TEHRAN August 30 (Shana)--An NGL plant in Siri Island has produced more than 22 million dollars in revenues in the past year from exporting naphtha, propane and butane, a plant official said.
Reza Haqiqi said the NGL plant produces 140,000 cubic feet of gas and 15,000 barrels of naphtha and gas products a day.
He added that the plant is working at half capacity due to shortage of feedstock, noting that new wells are to be drilled and a new pipeline is to be laid out to deliver gas to the facility.
Haqiqi said the plant has produced 280,000 barrels of naphtha, 106,000 barrels of butane and 106,000 barrels of propane since 2012. He added that Kenya has been a major destination for these products.
He said that the plant has cost 500 million dollars.
