Tehran, Sept 9, IRNA � President Hassan Rouhani was officially welcomed by his Kazakh counterpart Nursultan Nazarbayev in the presidential palace in Kazakhstan?s capital city, Astana.
President Rouhani arrived in Astana heading a political and economic delegation on the first leg of his five-day tour which will take him to Tajikistan late Monday.
President Rouhani is scheduled to hold talks with President Nazarbayev on issues of mutual interests, regional and international developments .

Iran and Kazakhstan are to sign agreements on economic cooperation.

President Rouhani is later due to leave Kazakhstan for Dushanbe, Tajikistan, where the 14th meeting of Shanghai Cooperation Organization will be held.
