Tehran, Sept 11, IRNA -- Iran?s Deputy Foreign Minister for Afro-Arab Affairs Hossein Amir-Abdollahian has called for facilitation of entry visa for Iranian traders and businessmen to Zimbabwe.
Speaking in a meeting with the Zimbabwean Foreign Minister Simbarashe Simbanenduku Mumbengegwi in Harare on Thursday, the two sides discussed bilateral relations and cooperation on various political, economic and cultural fields.
Among other issues discussed at the meeting were increased investment by the Iranian private sector in Zimbabwe, the need to follow up and implement past agreements, planning to hold the next session of the Joint Commission, boosting of scientific and technological cooperation, and promotion of activities of the private sectors of Iran and Zimbabwe.
The two sides also underlined the need to further consolidate bilateral ties.
Amir-Abdollahian is on a tour of Africa which has already taken him to South Africa.
