Tehran, Sept 16, IRNA The visiting Czech trade delegation on Monday met with Iranian economists and stressed expansion of economic cooperation and development of bilateral ties with Iran.
The meeting was held at Iran Chamber of Commerce, Industries, Mines and Agriculture.
Abolfazl Rahnama, Director General of European, American and International Affairs Department of the Chamber, termed trade record of Iran and the Czech Republic active and bright.
He said: Czech industries and products enjoy good and competitive standards in comparison with industrial countries and have always been welcomed by Iranians.
In recent years, he added, trade relations between the two countries had dropped. However, he added, it seems that in the light of the interest of the two sides in further expansion of trade ties, the deficiency will be compensated.
Meanwhile, head of international affairs of the Czech Chamber referred to the long-standing Iran-Czech relations and said: We believe the existing potential could be doubled in future as there are many fields for cooperation in transportation, drugs, environment technology, car parts, hydroelectric generation, mines, foodstuff and textiles.
