TEHRAN (Tasnim) � An Iranian parliamentary delegation is in Bangladesh to attend a three-day seminar on "Ending the cycle of violence against girls in Asia-Pacific."
The seminar for Asia-Pacific parliaments opened on Tuesday and will run until September 25 in Dhaka, the capital city of Bangladesh. The conference is being jointly organized by the Inter-Parliamentary Union and the Parliament of Bangladesh.



During their visit to Dhaka, the Iranian parliamentarians are planned to hold talks with high-ranking Bangladeshi officials on issues of mutual interest.

�The seminar will focus on violence against girls and discuss an effective parliamentary response in terms of legislation and enforcement,� the official website of the Inter-Parliamentary Union announced.

�The Seminar will serve as a forum for exchanging experience and know-how. It will also enable participants to develop strategies and actions to effectively end violence against girls in the region,� the website stated.
