Ilam, Oct 15, IRNA � A strong quake measuring 5.6 on Richter scale hit Murmuri suburbs of Abdanan City, Ilam province, Wednesday evening, leaving 19 wounded.

Institute of Geophysics University of Tehran registered the quake at 5:05 hours local time on Wednesday.


The quake caused a landslide that inflicted damage on several automobiles and injured several passengers.

The wounded include four students who sustained light injuries due to stampede while they were trying to leave the school.
