Tehran, Oct 15, IRNA -- Parliament Speaker Ali Larijani who was away in Geneva to attend 131st Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU) Conference arrived back in Tehran late Wednesday night.
Larijani who was accompanied by a parliamentary delegation was welcomed at the airport by Vice Speaker Mohammad-Reza Bahonar and Head of the National Security and Foreign Relations Commission Alaeddin Boroujerdi.
In addition to attending and addressing the IPU Conference, Larijani during his three-day stay in Geneva also met and conferred with his counterparts from Syria, Lebanon, Kuwait, Iraq, Algeria, Afghanistan, Serbia, Bangladesh, and Uganda and conferred with them on the most important regional and international developments.
He also had a meeting with the head of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC), a group of elite Iranians residing in Geneva, had an interview with the CNNs Christian Amanpour and participated at a press conference.
