Dezful, Khuzestan Prov, Oct 17, IRNA An Iraqi tanker carrying inflammable fuel exploded and caught fire in Andimeshk City, in Iran's Khuzestan province.
Andimeshk highway patrol chief told IRNA that the Iraqi tanker which was carrying an inflammable oil derivative caught fire while it was passing the Andimeshk-Ahvaz Belt Road.
Seyyed Goudarz Nourbakhsh said that the cause for the incidence was the blowing up of one of the front tires of the Iraqi tanker followed by its driver's incompetence in controlling the vehicle afterwards.
He added that the Iraqi tanker's driver survived the incidence unharmed.
Following the incidence the provincial Red Crescent, as well as Andimeshk medical health, and fire department forces rushed to the scene and extinguished the fire.
The resulting fire was so huge that it's tense, black some was seen not only in various parts of Andimeshk City, but also in northern parts of Khuzestan province.
