A new chapter to begin in Iran, Hungary ties: Jnos Latorcai

TEHRAN, Oct. 25 (MNA) Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly of Hungary Jnos Latorcai met with his Iranian counterpart Mohammad-Hassan Aboutorabi Fard in Tehran on Friday afternoon and discussed development of bilateral ties.
Mr. Aboutorabi Fard, first Deputy Speaker of the Parliment of Iran, pointed to Iran and Hungarys great potential for enhancing bilateral cooperation and said, Iran and Hungary have had long-standing cultural and economic cooperation with one another, and parliamentary talks between the two nations will, undoubtedly, have a positive impact on facilitating state communications and development of the private sector.

He pointed to Iran and G5+1 talks and said, Irans negotiating team will continue the talks with a stress on the rights of the Iranian nation in their peaceful uses of nuclear energy. However, Iran has not tied its development of relations with other countries to the outcomes of the nuclear negotiations, but rather it has based its cooperation on mutual respect.

Mr. Aboutorabi Fard condemned the US and its allies policies in the region particularly those taken in regard to terrorist groups and said, the strengthening of the terrorist groups is a result of military and financial support from Western powers seeking their own objectives in the region.

Jnos Latorcai, for his part, expressed satisfaction for the growing cooperation between Iran and Hungary and said, considering the long-standing bilateral ties between the two counties, Hungary is eager to cooperate with Iran in various fields.

Facilitating trade and economic activities in the two countries private sectors, exchanging professors and students between Iran and Hungary and other mutual areas of interest have been among the objectives for this visit, maintained the Hungarian official.

He also called the coalition airstrikes ineffective and said, an effective counterterrorism agenda requires the unity and cooperation of all the countries that are deeply and truly concerned with combating terrorism.

With the complete elimination of sanctions against Iran and a final nuclear agreement with the G5+1, a new chapter will begin in Iran and Hungarys bilateral cooperation in various fields, Mr. Latorcai maintained.
