Tehran, Nov 20, IRNA Head of Iran-Turkey parliamentary friendship group said that joint investment can help accelerate economic development in both countries.
According to Majlis website, Moaeid Husseini Sadr, in a meeting with Turkey's new Ambassador to Tehran Reza Hakan Tekin here on Wednesday said that Iran-Turkey parliamentary friendship group is for further political, cultural and economic ties between the two countries.
Referring to cultural and historical ties between the two countries, Sadr said that deep historical relations and cultural commonalities between the two nations are a firm support for mutual ties.
He said that existing capacities in neighboring provinces are an opportunity for increasing mutual exchanges, adding that meetings between border provinces can help remove existing obstacles on the way of economic and trade exchanges.
Hakan Tekin, for his part, expressed pleasure with beginning of his mission in Tehran and said that consolidation of ties is the wish of both countries' senior officials.
He called for prompt removal of existing obstacles on the way of mutual economic and trade ties, adding that border provinces meetings can help development of commercial and trade developments and expansion of bilateral relations.
