Tehran, Nov 26, IRNA Commercial deputy at the Islamic Republic of Iran Airlines (Iran Air) Mohammad Reza Khoshnevisan said certain European countries have been refusing to provide fuel to Iranian planes since three years ago. However, the aircraft of those countries such as Lufthansa and Alitalia can easily receive fuel in Iran.
Speaking at a ceremony on the occasion of the launch of activities of Germania Airlines of Germany to Iran, the official said: Our ethical, professional and Islamic teachings do not allow us to reciprocate and all the airlines flying to Iran are now using airport services of our country.
He said when an Iran Air flight landed in one of the European airports with a blown tire the manager of the airport did not provide even a jack to the aircraft to change its tire.
The official said that it has been over 30 years that the Iranian airlines have been subject to unjust sanctions and experienced numerous problems but thanks to the efforts of Iranian experts the air transportation industry is still operational. He hoped for Tehrans connection to all parts of the world through air flights.
It should be noted that Germania is due to commence its flights as of February 25, 2015 with five flights a week from Berlin, Hamburg and Dusseldorf to Mashhad and Tehran.
Ali Akbar Kokabzadeh, the official representative of Germania Airlines in Iran said the flights of the company have not started to Iran yet but 50 German groups of 25 and 30 have registered for visits to Iran.
Stressing that the German company has launched its flights to Iran on its own request, Kokabzadeh said Germania Company with 40 years of record is one of the seven German airlines that has flights to over 140 corners of the world.
