TEHRAN (Tasnim) - Iran has dropped five to 56th place in the latest FIFA rankings despite a win over South Korea in a friendly last week.
Japan is the new number one side in Asia even though it dropped one spot to 53.
South Korea and Uzbekistan are third and fourth in Asia respectively.
Germany still leads the FIFA rankings followed by Argentina, Colombia, Belgium and the Netherlands in an unchanged top five.
Brazil remains at No. 6 despite a six-match winning streak since the World Cup.
A total of 150 new A international matches have been taken into account for the November edition of the World Ranking, bringing the total number of matches evaluated in 2014 to 817. Sixty-one of these matches were part of continental qualifiers in Europe, Africa and the CONCACAF region, with the other 89 being friendly matches.
