New Delhi, Nov 28, IRNA � Minister of Road and Urban Planning and Indian Minister of Railroad called for development of railways cooperation, especially in the sector of infra-structures, signs and transportation.
��Abbas Akhoundi, in a meeting with Suresh Prabhu here on Friday afternoon, discussed grounds for mutual cooperation in the field of railways.
Akhoundi said that Iran is ready to use India's abilities in the field of railways and making wagons.

Referring to Iran's being neighbours to Pakistan and Afghanistan, Akhoundi said that Iran can prepare grounds for access of these countries to the Persian Gulf and Oman Sea.

He added that Iran and India may have extensive cooperation in the fields of oil, gas and petrochemicals.

India's Railways minister, for his part, expressed interest in cooperation with Iran and said that the two countries can cooperate in the fields of transportation and railways.

Prabhu added that Indian companies are ready to invest in the sector of infra-structure development, manufacturing wagons and development of Iran's railways.

Akhoundi arrived in New Delhi on Tuesday and met with India's transportation minister.

Akhoundi, then, travelled to Kathmandu, capital of Nepal, on Wednesday to attend the 18th session of South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation (SAARC) and delivered a speech in the inauguration ceremony as the observer member of the body.
