TEHRAN, Nov. 30 (MNA) Irans Ali Daei and Homayoun Behzadi have been placed in Asian Football Hall of Fame.
The 60th anniversary of establishment of Asian Football Confederation (AFC) has been celebrated in Manila in Philippines. The ceremony named 10 prominent players of the continent as figures worth of mentioning and entering the Asian Football Hall of Fame. Irans Ali Daei and Homayoun Behzadi are among 10 honored players.
Yasahiko Okodera and Homare Sava (Japan), Sami al-Jabir (Saudi Arabia), Datso Chin Aeo (Malaysia), Sun Won (China), Hong Myong Bu (South Korea), Baychung Butia (India), and Harry Kewell (Australia) are other 8 players in the Hall of Fame.
Saudi super Samial-Jabir told reporters during ceremony that it was very valuable that AFC honored former soccer star players; this is really a step forward; for myself, to be placed in Asian Confederation Hall of Fame is a great honor and prestige, marking my career in football and garnering respect and value for me, he added.
