Tehran, Dec 1, IRNA Iran's Ambassador to Tajikistan Hojatollah Faghani and Tajik Minister of Culture Shamsiddin Orumbekov have recently signed an agreement for Tehran-Dushanbe cooperation in cultural and artistic fields.
Iran's Organization of Culture and Islamic Communications reported that the document was inked for a three-year term.
The agreement was signed by the two officials in a meeting held prior to Orumbekov upcoming visit to Iran.
Orumbekov expressed hope that the paper would help boost bilateral cultural relations between the two nations.
The agreement requires Tehran and Dushanbe to hold their cultural weeks, exchange music and theatrical groups to attend international festivals in Iran and Tajikistan and exchange visits between experts of the two countries to take part in scientific and artistic conferences.
The document also facilitates Tajikistan's participation in Iran's International Book Fair in 2015.
